Ne jamais revenir

Death.

That is my warning- it's gonna be heavy so brace yourselves.

We live our lives unable to overcome the insurmountable fear we have towards death. We live our lives, day to day, as we are told to do. We put on our big boy pants and try to get through all the ups and downs. Weeks tend to go by without us even considering the blunt fact that we can die at any moment, at any place, without a chance to say goodbye. We die as subtle marks on the world, light wounds that don’t scar— superficial cuts that fade within years of our passing. Our names are forgotten, our stories are eventually lost.

I know your looking for it but there is no uplift. Excuse my cynicism but the brutal truth we face is inevitable. We aren’t all going to die as wise old ladies that have soaked up as much life as we can. So do yourself this favor- don’t ever stop telling the ones you love how much you truly love them. Don’t let a day go by that you don’t call your parents. Don’t let a day go by that you don’t tell your girlfriend she is the most beautiful thing you have ever held in your arms. But more importantly, don’t ever let your day just ‘go by.’

Take risks, everyday. EVERYDAY. Smile everyday. Laugh, cry, love, talk, jump, hoolahoop EVERYDAY. Cause some day, sooner then you’re expecting, will be your last.
